The Garden of Delights

The Garden of Delights organizes festivals on private estates. Each edition takes place on a different estate. Against a backdrop of monumental buildings, parks, gardens, woods and lanes, there is space for contemporary theater, dance, performance, visual and edible art.

From the 12th of December until and including the 14th of December we’ll be a guest at ‘Havezate Den Alerdinck’ at Laag Zuthem for our 22nd edition.
We’ve invited artists` collectives Waterlanders and Eye-Burn to create a winter walk full of light, sound and fire with their beautiful art installations and performances. Under the title WATER AND FIRE, they will play with - what a coincidence - water and fire.

Gertjan Adema en Anne Leijdekkers will show their unique performances and art installations along the walk.
De Jong & De Witte, Compagnie Kairos and Lilli Döscher are in residence at The Garden of Delights, working on new projects. Who knows, maybe they will show some first results during the festival.
Students from art school ArtEZ in Zwolle will complete this special winter walk.

At several locations along the road you can warm up to fires, warm blankets and a bowl of soup. Of course, our chefs from Butifarra will be joining us as usual. They will provide us with fresh tapas throughout the whole evening.
The well-known long Table of Delights will be placed inside the “Koetshuis” this year.

The presale has stopped, but tickets are still available for today at the box office
